Former minister of internal affairs in Rumen Radev’s cabinet in charge Ivan Demerdzhiev has gained a luxury state apartment in the very heart of Sofia by order of the then minister in charge Ivan Shiskov.
The flat is located in Sredets region, ‘Tsar Osvioboditel’ 21 Bul. and is 231.43 square meters, and separately has a basement and an attic.
Ex minister Demerdzhiev has settled in all this luxury in the center of the capital in exchange of a ridiculous rent of 213.04 BGN.
According to the contract Demerdzhiev had to leave the apartment as he is no longer a minister. The curious thing is that he is still living there against the low rent, Focus agency claims.
Why is the apartment still not vacated, on what basis is it still being used by Demerdzhiev for a nominal rent? "Focus" has directed these questions to the relevant institutions.
